I received this great mapcard from Scotland from the United Kingdom two weeks ago. It is my first official from this country. It has travelled a distance of 756 kms in 8 days. I have been to Scotland a few months ago so I really like this mapcard. I have been to Edinburgh, the Highlands and Isle of Skye! It is an amazing country!
Netherlands RR - Group 97 - Egypt
I received my first card from Egypt via The Netherlands RR from Feefs. She send me this beautiful card from the UNESCO site Abu Simbel. I think Egypt is very beautiful. I have been there a few years ago but didn't see anything from the pyramids and other ancient Egyptian works.
This outstanding archaeological area contains such magnificent monuments as the Temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel and the Sanctuary of Isis at Philae, which were saved from the rising waters of the Nile thanks to the International Campaign launched by UNESCO, in 1960 to 1980.
Slavic Countries RR - Group 1 - Germany
I participated a lot in the Slavic Countries Round Robin but unfortunatley since the beginning of the summer, there wasn't much activity in this Round Robin anymore. But someone re-opened the RR and I was very happy because I receive very nice postcards via this RR.
In the first group I received this nice card from Lichtspiel from Germany . It shows the Cathedral in Cologne. I have been to Cologne a month ago and this cathedral is very impressive! It is very huge.
Begun in 1248, the construction of this Gothic masterpiece took place in several stages and was not completed until 1880. Over seven centuries, successive builders were inspired by the same faith and a spirit of absolute fidelity to the original plans. Apart from its exceptional intrinsic value and the artistic masterpieces it contains, Cologne Cathedral testifies to the enduring strength of European Christianity.

Surprise card!
Last week, I received a very nice surprise in my mailbox! When I was attending a postcrossing meeting in Colgone last month, I send a few postcrossers a card from this meeting. One of them was alivemary from Ukraïne . We are participating in the same Round Robins and I really enjoy her great cards from the Kiev Lavra. She could get some cards from the UNESCO site L'viv and send one of them to me!! I'm very happy with this new addition for my UNESCO collection! Thanks a lot!
The city of L''viv, founded in the late Middle Ages, was a flourishing administrative, religious and commercial centre for several centuries. The medieval urban topography has been preserved virtually intact (in particular, there is evidence of the different ethnic communities who lived there), along with many fine Baroque and later buildings.

When I received this one from Germany today, I was a little bit confused. Is it Michael Jackson who stands behind the bar? Who are all these people? Then I recognize the famous look of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and I found Charlie Watts in the corner. A place which is familiar for him. And of course, Rocking Ronnie Wood with his sunglasses!! Very lovely picture! I didn't knew I would got a Stones card so fast. Do you recognize al these famous people? Oh by the way, the card has travelled a distance of 118 kms in 5 days!

A few days ago, I received this multiview card from Würzburg from Germany . It has travelled a distance of 337 kms in 4 days! The residence with the gardens are also on this view so it shows an unesco site. It is my second card from this Residence.
This magnificent Baroque palace – one of the largest and most beautiful in Germany and surrounded by wonderful gardens – was created under the patronage of the prince-bishops Lothar Franz and Friedrich Carl von Schönborn. It was built and decorated in the 18th century by an international team of architects, painters (including Tiepolo), sculptors and stucco-workers, led by Balthasar Neumann.

After I received a nice card about London from Duplevista, he send me one from Rome via the Netherlands Round Robin Group 97. Or do I have to say; Vatican City? It is a lovely card from St. Peter's by night! It is an UNESCO site as well. I have been there last year.
The Vatican City, one of the most sacred places in Christendom, attests to a great history and a formidable spiritual venture. A unique collection of artistic and architectural masterpieces lie within the boundaries of this small state. At its centre is St Peter's Basilica, with its double colonnade and a circular piazza in front and bordered by palaces and gardens. The basilica, erected over the tomb of St Peter the Apostle, is the largest religious building in the world, the fruit of the combined genius of Bramante, Raphael, Michelangelo, Bernini and Maderna.

This one is the greatest card I received via postcrossing! I was very surprised when I found this one on my doormat. The 'Rolling Stones' are on my wishlisht but I know these cards are very rare or very expensive. Don't know what it is, but you can't even use their famous logo. It is forbidden to put it on your website. I hope I wont get any problem by publishing this card ;) The cards was send by Elefantus from Italy . It has travelled a distance of 871 kms in 5 days! I'm so happy with this card!!!!! Thanks a lot :)
I decided to put it in a seperate category 'Rolling Stones' ;)

I received my third official from Russia last week. Although I have received some views from Moscow via Round Robins or tags, I didn't receive any from Moscow via the officials till I found this card in my mailbox. It shows of course one of the main attractions from the city; The Kremlin. The card has travelled a distance of 2152 in 23 days.
Inextricably linked to all the most important historical and political events in Russia since the 13th century, the Kremlin (built between the 14th and 17th centuries by outstanding Russian and foreign architects) was the residence of the Great Prince and also a religious centre. At the foot of its ramparts, on Red Square, St Basil's Basilica is one of the most beautiful Russian Orthodox monuments.

It is far from my hometown. Well, 123 kms but it is difficult to reach it. Of course it has travelled only 1 day.

I received these beautiful cards from Ritz from the Phillipines!
#1 Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras
For 2,000 years, the high rice fields of the Ifugao have followed the contours of the mountains. The fruit of knowledge handed down from one generation to the next, and the expression of sacred traditions and a delicate social balance, they have helped to create a landscape of great beauty that expresses the harmony between humankind and the environment.
#2 Historic Town of Vigan
Established in the 16th century, Vigan is the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. Its architecture reflects the coming together of cultural elements from elsewhere in the Philippines, from China and from Europe, resulting in a culture and townscape that have no parallel anywhere in East and South-East Asia.
