It has been a while that I wrote a blog about postcrossing. Due to the fact that I decided to move in 2013, I was very busy with sorting out the things for my house and now, in 2014, I have found my old hobby back. I was missing the postcards in my mailbox and making other persons around the world happy with them. I have had many cards since I quit with postcrossing but I have never post them on my blog. I will try to upload them all in the upcoming weeks. 

Let's start with this card from Poland . It has traveled 833 kms in 24 days.  It shows us the city Kolobrzeg. I don't know if I will able to pronounce this city without any mistakses. The city is in the Northern part of Poland, next to the sea. 

4 June 2012 - PL - 442574 - Olsztyn

I was happy when I found a card from Poland in my mailbox. I have been three times to this country including a big round trip of 3 weeks and I like it! This card has traveled a distance of 1,103 kms in 14 days. It shows us Olsztyn. A part of Poland I have never been to. It is next to the beautiful lakes of Mazury.

25 July 2011 - PL-239363 - Katowice

A card shaped as my favorite country: Poland . It has traveled a distance of 1,048 km in 14 days. It shows us Krynica. I have traveled in Poland for 3 weeks but didn't see this lovely place.

3 June 2011 - PL - 216384 - Dabrowa Gornicza

Another card from Poland . It has traveled a distance of 1,057 km in 17 days. It shows us different lovely famous views from Poland.

16 May 2011 - PL-213342 - Walbrzych

I don't know if it is a coincidence or not but I like Polish cards and number 250 is a card from....POLAND! . It has traveled a distance of 845 km in 6 days. It shows is one of the castles in Ksiaz.

30 april 2011 - PL - 204682 - Warsaw

It is almost a year ago that I received a card from Poland . I really like this country so Im always happy when I see a card from it. It has traveled a distance of 1142 km in 11 days. It shows us the Mazury lakes. I have never been there. This summer I will do a roundtrip through Poland but there is so much to see that I can not see the lakes.

A few weeks ago, I received this card from Poland . It has travelled 942 km in 20 days. it shows us a view sights of the city Wabrzezno.

I received another UNESCO card from Poland send by Bodexs. This time Park Muzakowski.



A landscaped park of 559.9 ha astride the Neisse River and the border between Poland and Germany, it was created by Prince Hermann von Puckler-Muskau from 1815 to 1844. Blending seamlessly with the surrounding farmed landscape, the park pioneered new approaches to landscape design and influenced the development of landscape architecture in Europe and America. Designed as a ‘painting with plants’, it did not seek to evoke classical landscapes, paradise, or some lost perfection, instead using local plants to enhance the inherent qualities of the existing landscape. This integrated landscape extends into the town of Muskau with green passages that formed urban parks framing areas for development. The town thus became a design component in a utopian landscape. The site also features a reconstructed castle, bridges and an arboretum.

I received a lot of cards via tags from Poland . Most of the time from Bodexs, like this one. It is my 10th UNESCO card and shows us the Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, which is a cultural landscape.



Kalwaria Zebrzydowska is a breathtaking cultural landscape of great spiritual significance. Its natural setting – in which a series of symbolic places of worship relating to the Passion of Jesus Christ and the life of the Virgin Mary was laid out at the beginning of the 17th century – has remained virtually unchanged. It is still today a place of pilgrimage.

And this one is a card from Poland , send by Bodexs, who has send me some nice UNESCO cards before. It shows one of the Wooden Churches of Southern Little Poland.



The wooden churches of southern Little Poland represent outstanding examples of the different aspects of medieval church-building traditions in Roman Catholic culture. Built using the horizontal log technique, common in eastern and northern Europe since the Middle Ages, these churches were sponsored by noble families and became status symbols. They offered an alternative to the stone structures erected in urban centres.

Another card from Poland!. This time an official! It has travelled a distance of 804 kms in 4 days only! Pretty fast for a card from Poland! It shows the city of Poznan, which I wont see this summer but maybe in the future!

Slavic Countries RR - Sp. Group 31 - Poland

Another UNESCO site from Poland ! This one was send via the Slavic Countries RR as well by Vesti. It shows the historic centre of Kraków, which I will visit this summer!



The historic centre of Cracow, the former capital of Poland, is situated at the foot of the Royal Wawel Castle. The 13th-century merchants' town has Europe's largest market square and numerous historical houses, palaces and churches with their magnificent interiors. Further evidence of the town's fascinating history is provided by the remnants of the 14th-century fortifications and the medieval site of Kazimierz with its ancient synagogues in the southern part of town, Jagellonian University and the Gothic cathedral where the kings of Poland were buried.

Another card from mchomka from Poland . It was send via the Slavic Countries RR and shows a nice UNESCO site; Weukucxka salt mine. A new one to my collection! I hope to see this UNESCO next summer, when I will visit Poland.



This deposit of rock salt in Wieliczka-Bochnia has been mined since the 13th century. Spread over nine levels, it has 300 km of galleries with works of art, altars, and statues sculpted in the salt, making a fascinating pilgrimage into the past of a major industrial undertaking.

You choose UNESCO whs - Poland

This beautiful card was send by Bodex, from Poland via the you choose unesco wsh tag. It shows the castle of Malbork.



This 13th-century fortified monastery belonging to the Teutonic Order was substantially enlarged and embellished after 1309, when the seat of the Grand Master moved here from Venice. A particularly fine example of a medieval brick castle, it later fell into decay, but was meticulously restored in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Many of the conservation techniques now accepted as standard were evolved here. Following severe damage in the Second World War it was once again restored, using the detailed documentation prepared by earlier conservators.

One month ago, I received a multiview from the city Warszawa in Poland . It was a view days before I decided to go to Poland this summer. So I was very happy when I found another multiview pf Warszawa in my mailbox! It has traveled a distance of 1068 kms in 10 days!



During the Warsaw Uprising in August 1944, more than 85% of Warsaw's historic centre was destroyed by Nazi troops. After the war, a five-year reconstruction campaign by its citizens resulted in today's meticulous restoration of the Old Town, with its churches, palaces and market-place. It is an outstanding example of a near-total reconstruction of a span of history covering the 13th to the 20th century.

20 January 2010 - PL -62970 - Warszawa

I received a nice view from Warszawa from Poland one week ago, just a few days before I booked my summer trip to Poland! I will visit Warszawa as well! The card has travelled a distance of 1086 kms in 13 days.

I really like this one, which I received from Poland . It was send by Bodexs. It shows us the UNESCO site Białowieża Forest, which is situated in Belarus and Poland. This is the Polish part.

Situated on the watershed of the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea, this immense forest range, consisting of evergreens and broad-leaved trees, is home to some remarkable animal life, including rare mammals such as the wolf, the lynx and the otter, as well as some 300 European Bison, a species which has been reintroduced into the park.
