Delay...

Due to the fact that the scanner at my work doesn't work anymore... I didn't update this blog for more than a month. I have still 13 cards waiting for you but a lot of them are not on my computer yet because the scanner is still death... Maybe I will upload firstly the cards who are scanned for me by the sender, and then I will find a solution to show you the other ones I received. Just have a little patience!

My 25th card from Germany ! It has traveled a distance of 686 kms in 19 days. It shows us the some views of Straubing, a city in Bavaria.

23 November 2010 - CH - 65328 - Bülach

After 1,5 years, I finally receive a card from Switzerland ! It has travelled a distance of 591 kms in 19 days. The card is typical Switzerland for me, because it shows lovely houses in the snowy mountains.

24 October 2010 - US-869139 - Sagniaw

I was surprised when I found an envelope from USA in my mailbox. It was not only a postcard but a letter as well! It has travelled a distance of 6,268 kmin 9 days. The card was send by the no. 25 of the USA on postcrossing. It shows us all the state flags!

24 October 2010 - RU - 238073 - Krasnodar

A lovely nightview from Russia . It has travelled a distance of 2,649 km in 15 days. It shows us a building of the Krasnodar Museum of Art.

24 October 2010 - TW-203749 - Kaohsiung City

I wasn't very often at home last month so I didn't had time to update this blog but I'm back and in the meantime, I received almost another 10 cards so you will see a lot of cards within the next days!

I have already received my first new year card! It was send from Taiwan . It has travelled a distance of 9,671 km in 18 days. It was last year the year of the 'Ox', as you can see.

17 October 2010 - LT-94458 - Vilnius

This is on of the nicest cards I got in the last months. It was send from Lithuania . It has traveled a distance of 1,420 km in 11 days. It shows us the old town of Vilnius. It is the first card I got from this city, it is also on the UNESCO list. It is a panoramic view and unfortunately I could not scan the third and last part.





Political centre of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania from the 13th to the end of the 18th century, Vilnius has had a profound influence on the cultural and architectural development of much of eastern Europe. Despite invasions and partial destruction, it has preserved an impressive complex of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and classical buildings as well as its medieval layout and natural setting.

17 October 2010 - PT - 144553 - Porto

It has been almost an half year ago that I received my last card from Portugal . I was happy when I found this card in my mailbox, which shows us the Cathedral of Porto. It has traveld a distance of 1,563 km in 11 days.



The city of Oporto, built along the hillsides overlooking the mouth of the Douro river, is an outstanding urban landscape with a 2,000-year history. Its continuous growth, linked to the sea (the Romans gave it the name Portus, or port), can be seen in the many and varied monuments, from the cathedral with its Romanesque choir, to the neoclassical Stock Exchange and the typically Portuguese Manueline-style Church of Santa Clara.

A few weeks ago, I received this card from the USA . It has traveled a distance of 7,139 kms in 6 days. Pretty fast! It showsus the Platte River and some sandhill cranes.

I was soo happy and surprised when I found a card from Guernsey in my mailbox! It is the first card of this country and it has only 17 users! It was send by the #2 of the country. It is also my lowest number I have ever received. It has travelled a distance of 562 kms in 5 days.

Almost 3 weeks ago, I received this lovely view card from Germany . It has traveled a distance of 229 kms in 4 days. It shows us Münster

02 October 2010 - CN -263598 - Shanghai

I was surprised when I received this card from China ! It has travelled a distance of 8,944km in 10 days. It shows us the Shanghai Expo 2010! Brilliant and very original!

2 October 2010 - RU - 227309

This weekend I received on of the greatest cards from Russia ! It has travelled a distance of 1827 km in 10 days. It shows us on of the halls of the Hermitage! It also has some great Kremlin stamps but unfortunatley I didn't had time to make a picture of it.

2 October 2010 - FI-909234 - Hyvinkää

It has been exactly 4 months ago that I received a card from Finland . It has travelled a distance of 1579 km in 7 days. It shows us a lovely pommes de pin in the winter. I really hope we will get snow this year!

30 september 2010 - US-840485 - St. Louis

This great nightview was send from the USA . It has travelled a distance of 7016 kms in 8 days. It shows ys the skyline of St. Louis. The Arch has a small tram system inside so you can see St. Louis from the top.

27 september 2010 - GB -170569 - Trowbridge

And it has also been a while ago that I found a postcard from United Kingdom in my mailbox. It has travelled a distance of 456 kms in 5 days.

When you see the front of this card, you will think that this was send from the USA. It shows us the skyline of San Francisco by night.

25 September 2010- DE-706733 - Bielefeld

This lovely viewcard was send from Germany . It has travelled a distance of 291 kms in 3 days. It shows different important places of the city.

6 September - ES-84867 - Olot

It has been a while ago that I received my first card from Spain . I received my second one a view weeks ago. It has travelled a distance of 1108 kms in 18 days.

It shows us a monastery in Camprodon.

6 September 2010 - DE-674584 - Gera

This interesting view was send from Germany . It has travelled a distance of 557 km in 18 days. The first time when I saw this card, I thought it was from a country in the South of Europe. Gera doesn't sound German, well it's really German place.

30 August 2010 - US-798671 - Joliet

I would love to show this card from the USA , but I can't...Because it's only a with piece of paper with som nice stamps, my address on it and a little story... It has travelled a distance of 6,653 km in 11 days and actually it's my 30th card from this country! A pity I can't show them to you...

25 August 2010 - FR - 108213 - Reims

Another card from France . It has travelled a distance of 315 kms in 6 days! It shows some beautiful sunsets of the Passage du Gois. This is near the island Normoutier.

25 August 2010 - BE - 70123 - Brussel

Last month I received my first card from... Belgium ! And...it was send by the no 4 postcrosser of Belgium! It has travelled a distance of 139 kms in 6 days! It shows the Grand Place of Bruxelles, which is an UNESCO site as well! So I'm very happy with this card. I have been in Bruxelles for the last time in 2006 so it reminds me of the fact that I have to go back to see more of the city.



La Grand-Place in Brussels is a remarkably homogeneous body of public and private buildings, dating mainly from the late 17th century. The architecture provides a vivid illustration of the level of social and cultural life of the period in this important political and commercial centre.

20 August 2010 - CN-215759 - Nanjing

In August I had finally time to go on with Postcrossing. This is one of the first cards I received after my break. It was send from China and has travelled a distance of 8,679 km in 68 days. A lot, but this is totally my fault. I forgot to register this card but fortunatley the sender send me a reminder =)! It shows us an antique duehouse in Nanping Village.

20 August - US - 707631 - Frederick

This summer, I was busy with some things but I register al the card immediatly when I received them after my vacation, so I was a little bit in shock when I found this card from the USA in my mailbox and saw the travel time. It has travelled a distance of 6,213 km in 85 days!

I really like the text on the front!

While this postcard was send from Germany , is shows us a part of Utah in the USA.It has travelled a distance of 197 kms in 18 days. I really love this picture! It's beautiful.

In June I received my 5th official card from France. It has travelled a distance of 756 kms in 18 days. It has been a while ago when I received my last card from France . It shows us 'La gare des Benedictins' and it is an hirstorical monument.

It has been a while ago that I updated this blog. Because of vacation and other things, I decided to take a break of Postcrossing, but I'm back so I have finally the time to update this blog! This is a card I received 3 months ago from China . It has travelled a distance of 9,270 km in 58 days. It is my 10th official card from this country. I really like the bright colours of the card, it feels like a dreamworld.
