I found a lovely UNESCO site in Thailand in December. It was not only a long time ago that I have received a card from this country, its also my first UNESCO card. It has traveled a distance of 9231 km in 31 days. It shows us Wat Mahathat in Ayutthaya.



Founded c. 1350, Ayutthaya became the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. It was destroyed by the Burmese in the 18th century. Its remains, characterized by the prang (reliquary towers) and gigantic monasteries, give an idea of its past splendour. (source: UNESCO.org)

This beautiful card comes from Thailand and has travelled a distance of 9,175 Kms in 10 days. It shows a verly lovely and peaceful marine national park!

8 July 2009 - TH - 23685 - Bangkok

I received my first official from Thailand on 8th July. It is a lovely card from the Sa Med Island in the Ra-Yong Province. Thailand must be a beautiful country! The card has travelled a distance of 9,169 Kms in 7 days!
