I'm trying to let my UNESCO collection grow and a good way to achieve this, is to tag sometimes in the UNESCO tag on the forum. I used this tag last week and I got a beautiful card from Germany . It shows the Speyer Cathedral near the Rhine. The card was send by Elbe. It is my fourth UNESCO site from Germany and I have still 29 to go to complete this country!
Speyer Cathedral, a basilica with four towers and two domes, was founded by Conrad II in 1030 and remodelled at the end of the 11th century. It is one of the most important Romanesque monuments from the time of the Holy Roman Empire. The cathedral was the burial place of the German emperors for almost 300 years.
My name is Lisan and I live in Netherlands. I'm participating in a project called Postcrossing since March 2009. I created this blog to share my experiences with exchanging postcards all over the world and the project itself :) You can see my profile here
