Most of the time when you received cards from Russia . It was send via the Slavic Countries Round Robin by Kaurry. It is a lovely panoramic card from Kremlin, which I didn't had in my collection. I can't imagine that I have actually being there. But it's beautiful.
Inextricably linked to all the most important historical and political events in Russia since the 13th century, the Kremlin (built between the 14th and 17th centuries by outstanding Russian and foreign architects) was the residence of the Great Prince and also a religious centre. At the foot of its ramparts, on Red Square, St Basil's Basilica is one of the most beautiful Russian Orthodox monuments.

The card shows us a beach in the summer. Right now, it is summer in New Zealang, while in The Netherlands it's cold and snowy.

And after my little time out, I found a card from Finland in my mailbox. It has travelled a distance of 1638 kms in 3 days!
The card shows us the natural landscape in the region of Kouvola.

An other card by Eminova from Russia was send in October via the Slavic Countries Round Robin. It is another Moscow-image and shows us the St, Basil Cathedral.

I received my first card from Lithuania on 17 October 2009!! And...it was an UNESO site as well! The card has travelled a distance of 1290 kms in 11 days. This means that I have received cards from all the Baltic States.
The card shows us Klaipeda, the city and the Curonian Spit.
Human habitation of this elongated sand dune peninsula, 98 km long and 0.4-4 km wide, dates back to prehistoric times. Throughout this period it has been threatened by the natural forces of wind and waves. Its survival to the present day has been made possible only as a result of ceaseless human efforts to combat the erosion of the Spit, dramatically illustrated by continuing stabilisation and reforestation projects.

It has been a while ago since I received a card from China and this one is on my desk for 2 months untill I had the time to show it on my blog. It has travelled a distance of 7,926 Kms in 14 days. I do not understand why my card to China always took so long....
Although I have looked at this card for a few weeks, I really do not know what it has to purpose because my Chinese is not that good. Know anyone the answer?? ;)
