A lovely nightview from Russia . It has travelled a distance of 2,649 km in 15 days. It shows us a building of the Krasnodar Museum of Art.

24 October 2010 - TW-203749 - Kaohsiung City

I wasn't very often at home last month so I didn't had time to update this blog but I'm back and in the meantime, I received almost another 10 cards so you will see a lot of cards within the next days!

I have already received my first new year card! It was send from Taiwan . It has travelled a distance of 9,671 km in 18 days. It was last year the year of the 'Ox', as you can see.

17 October 2010 - LT-94458 - Vilnius

This is on of the nicest cards I got in the last months. It was send from Lithuania . It has traveled a distance of 1,420 km in 11 days. It shows us the old town of Vilnius. It is the first card I got from this city, it is also on the UNESCO list. It is a panoramic view and unfortunately I could not scan the third and last part.





Political centre of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania from the 13th to the end of the 18th century, Vilnius has had a profound influence on the cultural and architectural development of much of eastern Europe. Despite invasions and partial destruction, it has preserved an impressive complex of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and classical buildings as well as its medieval layout and natural setting.

It has been almost an half year ago that I received my last card from Portugal . I was happy when I found this card in my mailbox, which shows us the Cathedral of Porto. It has traveld a distance of 1,563 km in 11 days.



The city of Oporto, built along the hillsides overlooking the mouth of the Douro river, is an outstanding urban landscape with a 2,000-year history. Its continuous growth, linked to the sea (the Romans gave it the name Portus, or port), can be seen in the many and varied monuments, from the cathedral with its Romanesque choir, to the neoclassical Stock Exchange and the typically Portuguese Manueline-style Church of Santa Clara.

I was soo happy and surprised when I found a card from Guernsey in my mailbox! It is the first card of this country and it has only 17 users! It was send by the #2 of the country. It is also my lowest number I have ever received. It has travelled a distance of 562 kms in 5 days.

Almost 3 weeks ago, I received this lovely view card from Germany . It has traveled a distance of 229 kms in 4 days. It shows us Münster

I was surprised when I received this card from China ! It has travelled a distance of 8,944km in 10 days. It shows us the Shanghai Expo 2010! Brilliant and very original!

2 October 2010 - RU - 227309

This weekend I received on of the greatest cards from Russia ! It has travelled a distance of 1827 km in 10 days. It shows us on of the halls of the Hermitage! It also has some great Kremlin stamps but unfortunatley I didn't had time to make a picture of it.

It has been exactly 4 months ago that I received a card from Finland . It has travelled a distance of 1579 km in 7 days. It shows us a lovely pommes de pin in the winter. I really hope we will get snow this year!

30 september 2010 - US-840485 - St. Louis

This great nightview was send from the USA . It has travelled a distance of 7016 kms in 8 days. It shows ys the skyline of St. Louis. The Arch has a small tram system inside so you can see St. Louis from the top.

27 september 2010 - GB -170569 - Trowbridge

And it has also been a while ago that I found a postcard from United Kingdom in my mailbox. It has travelled a distance of 456 kms in 5 days.

When you see the front of this card, you will think that this was send from the USA. It shows us the skyline of San Francisco by night.
