You Choose Unseco tag - China
China has a lot of UNESCO sites. Unfortunatley I do not receive them very often and that is a pity because China
.is a beautiful country. Via the 'you choose UNESCO tag' I tagged mightystar from China. I receveid this lovely card from the Classical Gardens of Suzhou. It looks really peacefull!

Classical Chinese garden design, which seeks to recreate natural landscapes in miniature, is nowhere better illustrated than in the nine gardens in the historic city of Suzhou. They are generally acknowledged to be masterpieces of the genre. Dating from the 11th-19th century, the gardens reflect the profound metaphysical importance of natural beauty in Chinese culture in their meticulous design.

I received a few cards on the 19 December of 2009. This one from China
as well. I think it has been stuck somewhere because it has travelled a distance of 9,165 kms in 52 days (!). Normally postcards from China are a lot faster.

The card shows us a Chinese drawing. On the back there were some nice stamps from the Asian Games! Cool!

It has been a while ago since I received a card from China
and this one is on my desk for 2 months untill I had the time to show it on my blog. It has travelled a distance of 7,926 Kms in 14 days. I do not understand why my card to China always took so long....
Although I have looked at this card for a few weeks, I really do not know what it has to purpose because my Chinese is not that good. Know anyone the answer?? ;)

UNESCO Tag - China
Sometimes I like to tag in the UNESCO tag to receive some new UNESCO sites. I receive not as many unesco site via the officials as I thought. This time Dengbin from China
tagged me back and send me this great card from the unesco site three parallel rivers of Yunnan Protected Areas. This is one of the three rivers.

Consisting of eight geographical clusters of protected areas within the boundaries of the Three Parallel Rivers National Park, in the mountainous north-west of Yunnan Province, the 1.7 million hectare site features sections of the upper reaches of three of the great rivers of Asia: the Yangtze (Jinsha), Mekong and Salween run roughly parallel, north to south, through steep gorges which, in places, are 3,000 m deep and are bordered by glaciated peaks more than 6,000 m high. The site is an epicentre of Chinese biodiversity. It is also one of the richest temperate regions of the world in terms of biodiversity.

Netherlands Tag - China
I received this beautiful card from the Potala Palace in China
via the Netherlands tag from Caofan. It is an UNESCO site and it is the second UNESCO site I received from China!

The Potala Palace, winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century, symbolizes Tibetan Buddhism and its central role in the traditional administration of Tibet. The complex, comprising the White and Red Palaces with their ancillary buildings, is built on Red Mountain in the centre of Lhasa Valley, at an altitude of 3,700m. Also founded in the 7th century, the Jokhang Temple Monastery is an exceptional Buddhist religious complex. Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama's former summer palace, constructed in the 18th century, is a masterpiece of Tibetan art. The beauty and originality of the architecture of these three sites, their rich ornamentation and harmonious integration in a striking landscape, add to their historic and religious interest.

Via the Netherlands RR - Group 58 I received this UNESCO card from China
send by Liuc. The card shows the Wulingyuan Scenic Area; in the middle of China.

"A spectacular area stretching over more than 26,000 ha in China's Hunan Province, the site is dominated by more than 3,000 narrow sandstone pillars and peaks, many over 200 m high. Between the peaks lie ravines and gorges with streams, pools and waterfalls, some 40 caves, and two large natural bridges. In addition to the striking beauty of the landscape, the region is also noted for the fact that it is home to a number of endangered plant and animal species."

To be honest, I received this card yesterday but I did not have the time to register it. It is my third official from China
and I found it in my mailbox after I complained a little bit about the fact that I always receive cards from the same countries but I was surprised because the card is totally different than the ones I received before! It shows us eight female soldiers who sacrified themselves for the civilization of China. The card has travelled a distance of 8,679 Kms in 10 days.

I like the message on the back which explained what this card has to purpose and some written Chinese characters! I think it is very difficult to write them but they are very beautiful.
Of course an original stamp!
